The golf program
has
put on paper exactly what we expect when your golfer misses a practice
FOR ANY REASON. We are not going to decide what a good reason is
and
what a bad reason is--that is a family/parental decision. However,
we
are going to have the golfer make-up the missed practice time with
the
following guidelines:
Prior notice is informing Coach Jackson or Coach Sadler AT LEAST
1 full
day in advance, the morning of does not count for prior notice.Missing workout includes leaving early for NON school related events(extra curricular events-other than golf is not considered missing)
Missing any workout without prior notice:--upon your return
Run to #7 tee box and back
50 push ups
50 sit-ups
Make 25 four foot putts
Hit 10 balls with each club in your bag
Missing any workout with prior notice:-- upon your return:
Make 25 four foot putt
Hit 10 balls with each club in your bag
We have also included
exactly how the grades will be calculated for the 6 weeks grades.
Notice that skills tests and short game evaluations are completion
tasks--which means if they just complete the drills they will
receive a 100 for that portion of their grade. The Daily portion
will be the most subjective part of the grade. The rules quizzes are
not surprises-they know exactly which rules they will be tested on
before the day of the quiz.
Grade Breakdowns:
Test-
50%- skills tests, practicals, short game eval checks, 6 weeks project
Quiz- 30%- rules quizzes
Daily- 20%- post round reports, attendance, attitude
